“curricula vitae” explores the human condition as an ongoing process with (in)voluntary (un)defined stations and trajectories. The biological naked body is perceived as the imprint of ambiguous and multilayered dynamics in our modern society, such as the quest for one´s self´s identity and for the place called “home”. This quest appears equally in the modern human antinomy of the need for roots while being obliged to cut them and seek for freedom
Ephemeral and eternal, biological and metaphysical, (pro)creation and decay, are some of the intertwined dilemmas portrayed in the artworks of Arta Ante & Victoria Hohmann. Do we choose which ways to go? Do the ways we go make us what we are? Who decides in the end and what is left after we die? The exhibition invites to reflect the wheel of modes of existence and their (re)production in the 21st century. The artists use collages, digital painting, text & paper work and present mixed forms of media.
